TO ALL THE BISHOPS AND THE DIOCESAN ADMINISTRATORS

RE: Consecration to St. Joseph and Local translations of the Consecration Prayer

Your Excellencies:

Last March 18, when we emailed the Act of Consecration to St. Joseph which will be done this coming Saturday, May 1, 2021 it mentioned that the National Consecration
will be led by the CBCP President at 9:00 am to be preceded by the Holy Rosary. However in order not to prolong the time waiting for the 10:00 am mass, it was decided that Abp. Romulo G. Valles will lead the National Consecration from Davao City at 9:45am. This will be livestreamed through the official FB page of the FM Radio Station of the Archdiocese of Davao: DXGN899 – Spirit FM Davao. As an expression of solidarity, it is kindly requested that this be broadcasted in your churches so that all the Bishops and priests together with the faithful can join in the Consecration. It is suggested that the Holy Rosary be prayed in all the churches prior to the 9:45am National Consecration. The mass for the Feast of St. Joseph will then follow at 10:00am in the different churches and Cathedrals led by the National Shrine of St. Joseph in Mandaue City, Cebu which will also be livestreamed at the official FB page of the Shrine: NSSJMandaue. After the post communion prayer, a diocesan or parish consecration could also be made especially for those that could not follow the National consecration.

Attached herewith are the different translations in the local dialect of the
Consecration to St. Joseph. Just for info, the Novena masses at the National Shrine of St.
Joseph which is spearheading this activity are also being livestreamed every five o’clock in the afternoon with a reflection from an invited bishop prior to the mass. It is also hoped that the 33-day preparation to the Consecration as suggested in the book of
Calloway which has been furnished to all the priests in the country is ongoing. For updates to other activities on this year of St. Joseph, you can visit the official St. Joseph PH Facebook page: stjoseph.ph2021 or the webpage dominusest.ph/stjoseph which
will try also to cross post the National Consecration and the Mass at the National Shrine.

In celebrating the Year of St. Joseph during this 500 Years of Christianity and the
Year of “Amoris Laetitia Family” we pray that we may find in St. Joseph, a faithful
husband to Mary and the loving father to Jesus, a true protector of our families and the universal church who was gifted to give to us the Holy Family of which he was the head.

Sincerely in the Lord,

Msgr. Bernardo R. Pantin
Secretary General
